Learn about why Runabout requires certain Permissions on your device

Runabout will ask the user for permissions when you first launch the application. If by any chance, permissions are not granted, the application will not work as expected.

Android Permissions

Android requires the following Permissions:

  • Calendar:
    • Add appointments details into the devices calendar app as events
  • Camera:
    • Take photos and videos. Used when capturing images required by Government Schemes
  • Location:
    • Access location of device. This is required to attach a location with the photos for regulation purposes.
  • Telephone:
    • Read phone status and identity. This is used to gather device information when sending crash logs to Dataforce Support
  • Storage:
    • Read, modify or delete contents of your devices storage. This is required to store photos taken within the app, and question answer details

iOS Permissions

iOS requires the same permissions as Android, and the following additional Permissions:

  • Siri
  • Gallery:
    • Access contents of the devices gallery to allow users to attach images to question answers
