A guide on how to instruct VEU to grant Dataforce permission to submit to their API on your behalf.

Overview

Beginning in May 2025, the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) stopped accepting bulk upload data files for submissions. Instead, all bulk submissions had to be processed exclusively through their official API.

To ensure a seamless transition, we deployed a solution that enabled you to maintain your existing bulk upload workflows. Our system automatically converted your familiar data files into the required API submission requests, allowing you to continue your operations with minimal disruption.

To authorize Dataforce to submit data to the VEU API on your behalf, you must contact VEU through their support desk by emailing veu@esc.vic.gov.au.

In your request, you must:

  1. Supply your AP identifier (e.g.A001234) and your Trading name that matches your Accreditation.
  2. State that your purpose is to authorize Dataforce Services to register certificates through the API on your behalf.
  3. Specify the notification email to send the results file to: veuapi@dataforce.com.au.

Here is an example email template you can use to request authorization:

Subject: Authorization for Dataforce to Submit VEU API Data on Our Behalf

Dear VEU Support Team,

I am writing to request that Dataforce be authorized to submit bulk activity data to the VEU API on our behalf .

Accredited Person Account ID: [Your AP identifier, e.g. A001234]
Accredited Person Account Name: [Your Trading Name as per Accreditation]
Authorised Submitter: Dataforce
Notification Email Address: veuapi@dataforce.com.au
